rebel leader

[edit]

have reverted the edit which claimed Sanjurjo was the rebel leader; went back to the edit which points to Barrera. It was Barrera agreed to be the nominal leader of the rising, and he indeed tried to assume such role, preparing to enter the Ministry of War once it is seized. Sanjurjo was agreed to head the coup in Seville, and this is what he did. The whole rising was named after Sanjurjo not because he was the leader, but because of the media attention given during court proceedings afterwards. Have discussed all this in the very article years ago. --Dd1495 (talk) 08:07, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

mini-flags in infobox

[edit]

mini-flags put next to the rebels are the monarchist roja y gualda colors. This is misleading, as it suggests that the rebels were monarchists. Though some of them indeed were, others were not. The monarchist question was not raised during the coup. Actually, the Sanjurjo manifesto pledged to defend the constitutional (i.e. republican) order. Suggest either to remove all mini-flags, or to mark both sides with tri-color republican ones. --Dd1495 (talk) 08:14, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

no challenge to the above. Hence, I am removing the flags, --Dd1495 (talk) 12:38, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
reverting misleading and erroneous edit, this time by Thrylaraol, which implies monarchic background of the coup and wrongly claims that Sanjurjo was its leader.--Dd1495 (talk) 10:41, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
hello Thrylaraol, you again reverted to the misleading version, with no explanation whatsoever. Before you do this again, could you please provide some rationale. rgds, --Dd1495 (talk) 05:57, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
again and again, another attempt to put misleading info as discussed above, this time by a user with no proper account. Also, this time with even more far-reaching misleading and entirely unreferenced suggestions, namely that the USSR supported the loyalists and Italy supported the rebels. Reverting again and alerting WP admins. --Dd1495 (talk) 11:34, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
