Angel Valley Farm[edit]

I'm deleting the reference to Angel Valley Farm (see: here) until someone comes up for a good reason for its inclusion in an encyclopedia. Katr67 19:07, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Street grid[edit]

I'm not sure how encyclopedic such a detailed description of the street layout is. I'd like to see an example of an encyclopedia article that includes such info... Also, this looks like original research, are there any reliable sources for this? Katr67 06:08, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it adds interesting details about the city that give a more complete and illuminated impression of the human lay of the the land. This is the sort of information I'd like to see in references.
The address commentary is, in the main, based on personal experience and observation. I've lived my life in the Mid- and Northern Willamette Valley and have a lifetime of "visual notes" stored away about such things.
I can take the point that such things need a little more documented support, though. I have a ODOT map that defines the grid characteristics of Scio that's available via PDF from ODOT's web site. --ZehnKatzen 18:48, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Original name myth?[edit]

I grew up in the area and had always know the name to come from "SC10" as in "Stagecoach Stop #10". Is there any validity to this claim?
