I have heard these called "scones". I assumed it was a mistake. Anyone have a clue? --tyroney 18:56, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Scones are yummy treats, not wall fixtures.

awkward wording

[edit]

the wording in some parts is a bit strange someone with good writting skills should take a look at fixing it i tried to think of a better way but i couldnt but its a bit off to me --209.181.16.93 (talk) 23:01, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not exclusively a wall fixture?

[edit]

Sconce is commonly used to refer to a music stand light, e.g. orchestra sconce, where it is not a wall fixture. Collins, Cambridge and Oxford Dictionary restrict the definition to a wall fitting, but Merriam-Webster, Macquarie and dictionary.com do not. huwg 203.208.113.199 (talk) 02:40, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
