Resignation

You can't resign from Parliament. Nigel Adams remains the incumbent Member of Parliament for Selby and Ainsty until a writ is moved. Mugsalot (talk) 17:42, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

More precisely, he remains a Member until such time as he be appointed to an office of profit under the Crown, which the Chancellor will presumably do in due course. Under the House of Commons Disqualification Act 1975, it is the appointment to such an office that causes the MP to cease to hold their seat, not the movement of the writ.

Where Is The Parliamentary Election Results History For This Constituency?

I've checked in to the only place I know of, to get the parliamentary constituency historical results for each election as I've been doing for the last, I dunno, ten or fifteen years .... and wtf? where are they?? BringBackTheStats (talk) 12:43, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
