Untitled[edit]

I came here by accident more then on purpose, so forgive me if I don't fully grasp the text of the article.

What I do understand (in my own words) is that a semantic link is more of less a labeled link connecting nodes in a web.

When these labels are predefined as (a hierarchy of) categories these labels could be seen as types. This would make automated semantic interpretation relative easy to do by software. Adding new relationships could proof to be more difficult however.

When labels are not predefined, their meaning (semantics) is defined by their usage. New relations can be created whenever needed. Just by labeling a link with a new label. Automated semantic interpretation however will be much more complicated. Because any new label will most likely require additional logic to process correctly. Someone will have to add this to the system. Being able to define the meaning of sets of labels and being able to define equivalent classes between sets could be helpful as well.

Is this a correct interpretation and line of reasoning? -- Madiuq 22:20, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

rel / rev[edit]

What is the difference between rel and rev? -- 212.213.204.99 18:18, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

I propose to merge Typed link with this article. They both cover the same subject and are written poorly. If both of them would be combinedd it might make for a better article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nezek (talkcontribs) 08:03, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Support. They overlap much more than they diverge. - Frankie1969 (talk) 14:56, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Support, although both articles need major cleanup. MC10 (TCGBL) 00:28, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

H Zhuge?[edit]

ALL of the references on this page are to papers written by "H. Zhuge", and ALL of those references were added by exactly two contributors: 198.164.42.128 (NRC.ca, July 2009) and 131.202.240.140 (Univ New Brunswick, Oct-Nov 2008). Since a trivial Google search reveals that Dr Hai Zhuge is a member of those two organizations, I am hereby removing all of his links, on grounds of WP:PROMOTION. - Frankie1969 (talk), 13 July 2009
