Salon Link[edit]

Could someone please clarify the 'Salon'? Salon points to a disambiguation page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Timb0h (talkcontribs)

I have fixed the link now. pjb007 10:39, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Points scores per student[edit]

I've updated the statistics in this section, but can anyone explain what exactly is meant by the use of the verb "load" in the sentence which says Shrewsbury College does not load its A/AS level students as heavily as other local colleges? -- Picapica (talk) 20:09, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal that Shrewsbury College of Arts and Technology be moved to Shrewsbury College  Done[edit]

SCAT was rebranded some while ago as Shrewsbury College, which can be seen from its website (see external links). This identity is unaffected by the merger with Shrewsbury Sixth Form College. So I propose this page be moved to Shrewsbury College. The existing disambiguation page would go. The local papers seem perfectly clear about the names. The note about the fictional Shrewsbury College Oxford is valid, but the real life college is much more important and therefore should occupy the Shrewsbury College page, I feel. There can be a note in italics at the top referring to List of fictional Oxford colleges for details on the fictional college.

After the move, the Shrewsbury College of Arts and Technology page would redirect to Shrewsbury College.

I support the idea of merger article-wise with Shrewsbury College, which would make a good opportunity for users to give background information on its previous incarnations, which go back to the "Shropshire Technical School" in 1898 IIRC, and Wilfred Owen was perhaps the most famous pupil from that phase of the college's existence.Cloptonson (talk) 20:51, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is showing how and when changes took place that evolved from the Shropshire Technical School to the three institutions that existed alongside each other: Wakeman, SCAT and Radbrook. And the citations to show exactly how one institution is a successor to a previous one, either as a renaming, a relocation or whatever. Malevan (talk) 20:57, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

add a line about THE student deaths[edit]

the death of six students in one month — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.250.100 (talk) 21:39, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you must mention them, add a citation (I have put a needed tag on the sentence). However I am tempted - unless they all reflected on conditions in the college or actually took place or arose from incidents on the premises - to delete the bald sentence. I am suspecting four of the six were the boys who were killed together in a road accident in Snowdonia and were subject of local news coverage earlier this month.Cloptonson (talk) 07:50, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
