Interwiki not working[edit]

Some notes[edit]

For Wikipedia's guidelines for medical content, see reliable sources in medicine and the manual of style for medicine. I have also added a template to the top of this page which explains further the sourcing guidelines on English Wikipedia.

English Wikipedia medical content only uses primary sources in rare circumstances, and should generally (with rare exceptions) be an encyclopedic summary of what secondary sources and reviews conclude. While this article uses numerous secondary reviews, it also has considerable content cited to primary sources.

I suspect it is possible to rewrite the existing content to comply with Wikipedia's guidelines, by removing the primary sources and including only text that can be sourced to the secondary reviews that are available. Thus, I have not removed anything from the article, although that may need to be done if it can't be correctly cited to the secondary reviews used on English Wikipedia for medical content.

The article had some other issues with respect to Wikipedia's general manual of style (we don't repeat words in sub-level headings, for example), and I corrected only a bit of this. I can help with more once the content is correctly cited. And perhaps others will gradually add the missing wikilinks. The article could also benefit from a Signs and symptoms section: see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Medicine-related articles#Diseases or disorders or syndromes.
