Shtrigas are horrid things... Those poor kids

i removed this sentence: The only way to cure the victims was to kill the shtriga itself.

because Durham (p. 87) says "She, and she alone, can heal the victim, who withers and pines as she secretly sucks its blood." if there's another source of equal quality that says otherwise, it should be cited. 65.95.37.175 22:43, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is it really necessary to point who exactly do not believe in shtrigas? I mean, please... is it encyclopedia or banner-happy playfields? --84.253.35.124 (talk) 14:27, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove that sentence "Some Albanians do not believe in the Shtriga...". It is an insult to me as Albanian and hole my community, it implies that most of us do believe, which i think is a biased statement. If it is from Durhams book, the statement is at leas 60 years old and does not apply for today. --Lilonius (talk) 12:47, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, it is silly. I removed it, because we do not need to state in every folk lore based article that "some people really believe in this". We do not state, for example, that "some people believe werewolves really exist", though I'm sure some people do ;-) 201.216.245.25 (talk) 21:17, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
