Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Skrunda-1. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Proposal to move to Military training area "Mežaine" and rewrite accordingly

[edit]

Judging by reports in media the site has been converted into urban warfare training area as was planned for some time. I found a presentation introducing ministry of defence's plan to locals a few years ago that confirms that it is the same site, consists of the entire ghost town, plus some of the surrounding woods for establishing safety zone for shooting range. The ghost town is repurposed for urban warfare exercises, rather than replaced with something new, so it seems to make sense to move and rewrite article to reflect the new situation. I am concerned that I've seen people still enquiring about it as a tourist destination, it is misleading and may even be dangerous ~~Xil (talk) 06:10, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
