Article needs cleanup

[edit]
  • This article is a drag to read, it is one long history section that should be split into sub sections which make it easier to read.
  • The article also lacks a members section.
  • The article needs to be wikified. After like the first three paragraphs the article no longer makes use of wikilinks and formatting.

I could fix the page rather nice, but I lack much knowledge about the band to do so. Hopefully someone who knows the band well can fix the article. --Leon Sword 01:57, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I guess I helped. But the article needs more because I used materials mainly from their official site (but did Not copy from it.) Xr 1 17:20, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the article does not explain how Johan Reinholdz got involved. He's not mentioned in the 1995 lineup, so it must be assumed he joined later. But when did this happen? The article talks about other members leaving and departing, and should mention his as well. MXVN (talk) 22:29, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Their facebook page

[edit]

I understand that this is another of their social networking official sites but they're still questionable to add. There have been many discussions about their inclusion at WP:EL. Also, why undo me and not say a thing (not use an edit summary)? that is pretty rude. FireCrystal (talk) 04:32, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't give any explanation for why you removed the facebook link, and it seemed illogical to me to have a link to their myspace page and not their facebook page. I'm pretty new to editing wikipedia, so I apologize if what I did was rude. Since information about skyfire is very difficult to find on the internet, I thought it appropriate to include as many relavent links as possible. Krevnasty (talk) 13:29, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Most of my explanation was within WP:EL. I understand why MySpace links are added but I am not too sure about Facebook links since they are like what I said questionable to add. I think they should be added on a case by case basis but like at Opeth the Facebook link was also added and it was agreed that the MySpace link is all that was needed. Though there has been quite a discussion on the inclusion of both. In my opinion, the MySpace link better portrays their 'official' site. Generally MySpace is only used when there is no official site. The inclusion of that forum is also questionable because of WP:EL and it being a forum and all. Also on another note, according to Wikipedia, WP:NONFREE encourages free images or ones that are not licensed or need permission to be used, though even that is not 'really' allowed. By now, MySpace is hardly ever used at all. Perhaps the Facebook is now more appropriate? I mean, if it is the Facebook page for the band, and not an individual member, it doesn't make sense to leave it out in this case. MXVN (talk) 22:33, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
