[edit]@Samstone000: Wikipedia does not rely on company websites for content. Please only add new claims to the entry which are verified by reputable journalistic secondary coverage, otherwise your edits will continue to be reverted. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:49, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
Area served
[edit]The Wikipedia page states that the area served is global. It is simply not true. Very few countries are covered. If someone tries to use it in an uncovered country, he gets an error message. 80.99.69.188 (talk) 08:14, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
- I've removed "global" for now. I don't know anything about geographic restrictions here but "global" isn't sourced. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:48, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
Adding a description
[edit]The current article describes Sniffies as an "interactive, map-based hookup web app", which is true. However, this does not explain how the app actually operates or functions. I feel a description of how the app actually operates in a way similar to how Wikipedia describes other dating and hookup apps (such as Grindr, Bubble, Tinder, etc.) would be helpful for this article. I wrote a quick synopsis that I feel gives a short overview of the app. Please feel free to give any feedback or make any suggestions.
"The website features a map that shows the locations of nearby users who are currently or recently online, as well as active groups and popular meeting spots in the area. Users can browse the map to view profiles, chat, and share pictures with potential partners in their area. Sniffies does not require registration to use; however, certain features, such as filtering search results, require free registration. There is a paid version of Sniffies called "Sniffies Plus" that includes additional features and functionality."

Article expansion
[edit]This article is quite popular (over 47,000 views in the last 30 days), yet is still a stub. I hope to expand the article to a "start"-class level in the near future, so any suggestions on how it could be expanded or improved would be appreciated. I have thought about adding some of the information outside of just the app, such as mentions of their Sniffies Hush blog, not dissimilar to how the "Grindr" article contains the "Original content" section.
In the meantime, Sniffies introduced two new features that I wanted to incorporate into the article. However, I wanted to post it here first to gather any feedback or suggestions on how it could be improved. He is the possible language:
"In 2024, Sniffies introduced two new features. In January, "vanilla mode" was added, allowing users to browse the app more discreetly by blurring explicit images. In late April, "cruiser filters" were introduced, enabling users to refine their searches based on criteria such as age, sexual position, body type, and penis size." (Sources :[1] [2])
