Clearly the parish council has achieved a change of name to South Swindon Parish Council. Is there a source for the official name of the civil parish? Ordnance Survey Election Maps still have it as Central Swindon South. -- Wire723 (talk) 15:03, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In gov.uk data the GSS code for the parish is E04012664 and this is consistently named as Central Swindon South. Examples: MapIt and Opendatasoft. Wire723 (talk) 14:22, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It'll just be a data propagation issue. The council is the source of truth on it, but suspect they're not that hot on updating third parties. I've sent off a few emails to prompt ONS and OS to talk to SBC; we'll see if the change filters through in the next few weeks. Once those two update it'll probably start to ripple through the rest of the dataverse. Patch86UK (talk) 15:12, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OK thanks. I hadn't realised that parish names could be changed in a "bottom-up" way. -- Wire723 (talk) 18:26, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
