Additional information on athletics

[edit]

1. Since there will be many athletes who qualify with a Qualification Time/Distance of more than 3, adding information on athletes who has achieved the qualifiying mark does not make anything important, because there will be selection from the Spanish team
2. When the Spanish athletics team is announced, the information will be deleted, so it will only create an edit log on this page, only to edit the names of athletes who qualified from Spain

So the conclusion is that actually this additional information is not needed and is not very important, considering that there will be trials and this section will be deleted soon Jr Tahun (talk) 05:48, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think you are on the rigth here, is more important who has the standar than in what events. Even more considering the spanish federation will not acept every quota so having the chart with no names is absurd. Uruflick (talk) 14:31, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The optimal compromise is to keep all the information and the original format as it is done for the Swimming section, as well in other country pages. Remind that at this stage ALL quotas are provisional. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anggelito (talkcontribs) 10:40, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's what I mean, why this doesn't matter. In the end, this information is only temporary and will later be deleted, so it is useless for editors to make contributions that are actually "useless", because, there will be more than 3 Spanish athletes who qualify from some events, and later they will be selected from the Spanish Federation Jr Tahun (talk) 00:01, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So we'll put every athlete that qualifies, as well that it's done in swimming an in other country pages. I don't see the problem, Uruflick (talk) 14:25, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
okay, that's not a problem. but does all of us consider that this achieved marks, would be deleted soon? this information is only for temporary, and also i don't see any other pages show this information? Only this pages who show this (or even if i'm wrong, please show which page). Well if there are more than two or three athletes who qualified in one event, is it going to show more than three athlete's, because that is unfair if it only show top three athletes with highest timing or result Lama tanpa dirimu (talk) 01:08, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I would not say that information is 'temporary' considering that final team will not be decided until July 2024, so it is quite a long time. In fact, the deletion of the additional info in Swimming led to mistake as new quota in 200 m medley was wrongly considered as a new athlete, when it was done by a swimmer who had already achieved another quota previously. So please, keep this information for not counting athletes wrongly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anggelito (talkcontribs) 13:04, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If more than three asthletes reach the quota we will put that "trhee out of:" and the athletes that had the quota. Uruflick (talk) 22:54, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

More info needed in the opening paragraph

[edit]

Compared to United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics, the opening paragraph of this article is a bit thin on the details - e.g. who the Spanish flagbearers were, Nadal carrying the Olympic torch, etc. It would be nice to have that information in there, along with any historic firsts.
