SEC only started in 2012[edit]

Given that the first year that SEC was staged was 2012, anything before that does not belong in this article. --Michig (talk) 20:48, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate article[edit]

Looks the same subject as the Individual Speedway European Championship to me. --Bcp67 (talk) 16:49, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not exactly the same but they could and should be merged.Rpo.castro (talk) 10:30, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Two separate competitions, so we should have two separate articles. The other one shouldn't have the SEC content. --Michig (talk) 08:16, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Michig: Well actually they are just the same competition with just a different format. The only difference is that until 2013 it was only stand alone event and from 2013 on the championship was turned in a series of events with GP's. The FIM website still calls its as [[Individual Speedway European Championship see here or here, which makes sense, do distinguish from Pairs Speedway competition. This article does have more history details then the Individual European Championship. There is no benefit in having 2 separate articles. With the proper changes you can have on better article.Rpo.castro (talk) 11:43, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's a different competition with different organising body, but since they're both kind of determining the best rider in Europe, I wouldn't have too much objection to them being covered in one article. --Michig (talk) 14:17, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
