Any objections to my adding "…especially in some form of suprise," to the end of the first sentence? Otherwise I'll change it, y'know, sometime in the near future. DTM 03:58, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

Isn't there another Futurama moment when Bender spits a huge amount of oil?

This isn't TVTropes, people. *Rolleyes* —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.121.175.112 (talk) 23:52, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Example of scene involving a spit take[edit]

It's hard to describe a sight gag without creating a scenario in which the sight gag would be used. I added a brief sketch ending with a spit take, which should describe the spit take and its usage.

only for comedic use?[edit]

Does the word only refer to comedic spitting of liquids, or does it also aply to real live situations, like when people suddenly have to laugh while drinking. The article is unclear about that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.142.42.146 (talk) 16:31, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

I just caused a spit-take in my office. It was a unplanned response to my humor, and generated more humor (and a need to clean up a table). 72.22.163.41 (talk) 15:41, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
