The result was: Merge proposal withdrawn by nominator. —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 03:58, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm proposing this merge because the new article seems to be about a kind of style of a stamp album and that this existing article would be improved by a discussion of different album styles. —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 14:33, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seems reasonable as long as there is a redirect so that link I wrote the article to satisfy is not left isolated again. Quandon 15:41, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just noticed the merge tag here and must disagree for several reasons. Besides which I was working on a draft article Stockbook that is online now and is a well rounded article with detail and references as well as appropriate illustrations a correct properly title for the topic. I had been in contact with the editor who added most of the images to Stamp album pointing out that the images did not belong because they were not of stamp albums but of stockbooks. I agreed to look for stamp album images for that article and use his stockbook images for the stockbook article. Additionally I had already added one proper image to stamp album and will try to find more.
Stockbooks, are known as that, and not as "Stock books" or "Stamp stock books", that is why I missed it. They are not stamp albums but a completely different postage stamp storage device so would be inappropriate if incorporated into the stamp album article. Dealers who sell stamp storage devices sell stamp albums AND stockbooks. For these reasons stockbooks should not be included in the stamp album article.
So I recommend that:
Hope you agree. If so I will do the work. Cheers ww2censor 23:10, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with ww2censor's proposals. Stamp album and Stockbook are two different entities.--PremKudvaTalk 03:44, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Very well then, I'll withdraw this merge proposal. It does seem, though, that Stamp stock book should be merged and redirected to Stockbook. —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 03:58, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
