Ostendorff's rank in the photo
[edit]In the photo, dated September 1941, Werner Ostendorff has the insignia of an Obersturmbannführer. According to his biographical article, he was promoted to Standartenführer on March 1, 1942 and held the rank until April 20, 1943. I replaced this with the photo in the corresponding German Wikipedia article: Hermann Fegelein, SS-Standartenführer 1937-42.

Fictional portrayals
[edit]What is the purpose / relevance of this section? It's uncited and appears to be trivia. Any objections to removing it? K.e.coffman (talk) 02:59, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
