Updating factual content
[edit]I work for Study Group and made some edits last week to update the universities Study Group works with and to remove some information that was no longer relevant, as well as update the page with the latest owner information. Which parts of the new content requires sources?SG jbowden (talk) 12:31, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
Removing warning banner
[edit]Hi there, I work for Study Group's PR agency. I'm keen to understand what content needs to be amended to remove the warning banner that appears on the Study Group Wikipedia entry. Your help in resolving this issue as swiftly as possible would be much appreciated. Many thanks Still learning always learning (talk) 15:18, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
Removing warning banner & page updates
[edit]Hi @GermanJoe, I work for Study Group's PR agency. You reversed some changes a colleague made on the Study Group International page, and I wanted to get a better understanding of how we can follow best practices while making edits to the page. Previously, there was a warning banner on the Study Group page suggesting a conflict of interest which I'm concerned may appear again. I'm keen to know what changes we can make to ensure the page fully complies with Wikipedia regulations. You're help would be much appreciated. Many thanks Still learning always learning (talk) 11:52, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
Lack of citations; tidying up soon
[edit]Hello,
The International Study Centres subheading in this wiki is entirely lacking in sources for the claims. I believe this entire section needs to go and needs to be rewritten once information is furnished.
I have temporarily put in a 'citations needed' template on the page in the hope accurate sources are found and shared by those with COI.
In the meantime, I think it is justifiable that the section is deleted pending evidence of the claims made in it. I will make the changes over the next few days.
Input from other editors and those with WP:COI is most welcome.
Thanks, HEwonk (talk) 17:49, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hello - I have completed the edits. I believe the International Study Centres section violates WP:SOAP even if referenced, as it is one big list of just names of institutions. However, I haven't simply eliminated it; I have instead included a sentence in the history to clarify what the International Study Centres business model is.
- In addition to the above change, I have added an up-to-date and accurate infobox, and edited the intro to fit WP:LEAD guidelines.
- Should anyone with WP:COI want to make additions, do let me know. I also welcome feedback from wiki editors.
- Thanks, HEwonk (talk) 18:06, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
