Incomplete sentence

[edit]
Header added. —Nils von Barth (nbarth) (talk) 01:12, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In the "Definition" sections, under "Points to note" there is an incomplete sentence, ending with "but". I can imagine what the rest of the sentence was supposed to say, but I wanted to see if the person who added this section wants to finish their idea before I jump in and change it. Klein bottle

[edit]

I don't believe Figure 2c actually depicts a Klein bottle; this animation shows it deforming into the cylinder from Figure 2b. A Klein bottle should look something more like this.

I'd like to replace Figure 2c, but before doing so I wanted to know: (1) should I produce graphics to replace the rest of the "surgery on a sphere" figures? and (2) should we still hope for an eventual SVG version of the replacements? Thanks.

Yes, I believe 2c is depicting a torus, not a Klein bottle. It seems to add confusion to the article. Rybu (talk) 05:53, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Some ideas to make reading easier

and are not explained at first use, they are the p-Sphere and the compact q-disk (sometimes denoted compact q-Ball). The operator is not explained, it denotes the manifold boundary (see Manifold#Manifold with boundary).--Himbeerbläuling (talk) 22:52, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
