Pictures

[edit]

If you have any pictures of a Vekoma, Caripro or Setpoint manufactured suspended roller coaster, please submit them to Wikipedia, this page needs some pictures of other models of suspended roller coasters not just the Arrow ones. I know I have one Setpoint picture, but I would like the article to be more diverse picture wise. Thanks (Coasterman1234 02:14, 2 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Move Page

[edit]

This page really needs to be called Suspended roller coaster, as that is the official name. Suspended swing is a way of defining the way a suspended roller coaster works. (Coasterman1234 19:13, 4 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

I agree, moving now. Seaserpent85Talk 16:50, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article expansion

[edit]

I took some time to beef up the history section, as an editor correctly noted that the suspended design has actually been around for a long time, but with limited uses and success. I found some data on Alpenflug, but I don't know how reliable the source is, but honestly it's better than nothing in an article that, up till recently, had few in-line citations. Also, I tried to keep the discussion to things that were in the photographs, but I'll leave this for other editors to comment on. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 16:10, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Suspended roller coaster in Brighton?

[edit]

Circa 2000 I was on holiday in south eastern England and saw something resembling a historic amusement park ride on the beach at Brighton and got the feeling of Deja Vue about it. Later I realised this was very similar to the Aerial Glide I had seen at Shipley Glen Pleasure Grounds in Baildon several years earlier. Was there an "Aerial Glide" at Brighton, or did I just dream this? Stuffed cat (talk) 12:24, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rolling stock?

[edit]

I'm not a native English speaker so I am not sure, but doesn't the term "rolling stock" refer to the _vehicles_ of a railroad? The sentence "in which the car hangs from the bottom of the rolling stock" doesn't really make sense to me - doesn't the "car hang from the bottom of the track"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.192.181.135 (talk) 03:12, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
