@Wilso113598: - WP:NZNC policy states that when the name is of Māori origin, we defer to the spelling as recorded in the gazetteer if the name is listed as official - particularly with regard to macrons. Turnagra (talk) 08:58, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
