Brooke's views on SSB

[edit]

I do not think that Brooke's view on the guru Sathya Sai Baba, are still a source of controversy, so I removed that. Apart from that the paragraph was inaccurately worded. For example, I do not think that just "elements" of Brooke's story can be found on the websites of former followers of SSB. Most of Brooke's story is treated, if you take the time and effort to search it (and learn Dutch language). Andries 20:14, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I admit that Brooke's views are not widely shared among former followers of SSB, but to say that they are a point of controversy is incorrect in the case of former followers of SSB. Andries 20:17, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One opinion on Brooke's book about SSB

[edit]

Hi. I liked Tal. I was there for several of the incidents that Tal put in his book; his telling is melodramatic and overblown. In short. I do not think he is account is reliable.

For example, he doesn’t dwell on the fact he wrote a book announcing that Sathya Sai Baba was the Second coming. I am reliably informed that he sent it to Calcutta to be published before completely changing his mind. Many of the incidents in the book happened before he wrote the book praising Sathya Sai Baba.

On the other hand, I am no longer a disciple of Sathya Sai Baba. I'll not put my name but anyone who was there will guess who I am. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.146.108.251 (talk) 08:54, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
