District boundary

[edit]

The district extends slightly into Miami County; the cited maps show the district crosses the Clark-Miami county line to include part of Scarff Road. According to the Bethel Township (Miami County) website, residents of that township have the option of attending Tecumseh schools. I lived near the county line, and my bus sometimes would pick up a student on Palmer Road, which is slightly further into Miami County. So there's a difference between the district's boundaries and the greater "area served" by the district's schools. Perhaps this needs to be made more clear in the article. Any other sources to cite would be appreciated. —mjb (talk) 02:13, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Are you talking about the part of Scarff Rd that runs parallel to Greenheart between Butternut and Lake Ave.? I delivered the New Carlisle Sun to that street (in like 1985) and those houses, on the east side of the road, are in New Carlisle city limits and Clark County. The County line ran along the edge of Scarff Rd on the opposite side of the street... and there where no houses on the Miami County Side. I don't think it's worth arguing about, though. --WaxonWaxov (talk) 01:46, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm talking about a part further south, closer to U.S. 40; see the zone marked "10", indicating Tecumseh Local Schools, in the PUCO's township & school district map of Miami County (map from 2007, school district data from 2004). The 1989 version of the map looks the same. —mjb (talk) 04:41, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I see. OK, cool. I stand corrected. --WaxonWaxov (talk) 13:37, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Alumni

[edit]

I am going to remove Amy Harber - actress/model from the notable alumni list even though I went to school with Amy and remian friends with her (via Facebook) to this day. I think the "standard" for notability for this list should be that there must first be an individual article on Wikipedia about the person like there is for everyone else listed. I do not think that is an unreasonable standard. Sorry Amy.  Eric Cable  |  Talk  12:51, 30 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
