Needs to be longer
[edit]Hey guys, you may want to help us out by getting some more information and expanding it. It should be a very interesting article when it is finished. Good luck! Mystify85JEC 20:02, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Merger Proposal
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result was merge into Texas (steamboat). -- Jonathan A Jones (talk) 21:49, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
In March 2013 User:Magnus Manske proposed merging this article into Texas (steamboat) but took no further action. I am now reviving this proposal. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 09:10, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
- Support - the two articles cover essentially duplicate topics, and the proposed destination article is both better and more appropriately named. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 09:12, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
- Support – except that I would merge the other way round. The parenthetical disambiguator (steamboat) is very often used to disambiguate steamboats from other types of ships with the same name. The (nautical) disambiguator fits well with already existing articles about nautical terminology; Bridge (nautical) for example. —Trappist the monk (talk) 11:29, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
There being no dissent I'm going to close this as approving the merger as originally described. I would have no objection to a subsequent page move as suggested by Trappist the monk. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 21:47, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
