In the film
[edit]- Do the Crickets meet with Buddy to discuss a reunion, or plan to surprise him at the next concert stop?
- Does Richie Valens win the coin flip with Waylon Jennings? Because in real life, Jennings gave his seat to the Big Bopper and Valens won the toss with Buddy's bandmate, Tommy Allsup. Clarityfiend 18:23, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- In the film in the ice ring buddy uses a Fender Bronco But this did not come out till the 1970's
- In the film in shows Buddy wearing a "Wayne's World" T-shirt.
- Did Buddy Holly really do a radio commercial for Tang?
- Why did the producers of this film cut out the bungie-jumping scene?
- You've forgot to add Buddy's missing brothers, he had two brothers. 'Holly' is a stage name, his real family name is 'Holley'. GoodDay 20:29, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Who are you?
[edit]Anybody know why Amy Johnston is redirecting to Amy Johnson...? TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 22:36, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
APRIL 25, 2021: Please ignore the above, along with the action noted immediately below. Scroll further down for new development regarding Amy Johnston on Wikipedia. Carlm0404 (talk) 08:32, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
- Because the actress doesn't merit an article, and it's a reasonable misspelling. I'll get rid of the link. Clarityfiend (talk) 01:01, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
This came out last month (death was March 17):
>Amy Johnston, who portrayed Cindy Lou, the girlfriend of Gary Busey's character in The Buddy Holly Story as the pioneering rock 'n' roller is first starting out, has died. She was 66.
If you check Wikipedia article about the Peggy Sue song, you will see that Cindy Lou was Buddy Holly's niece, and we have no information regarding Buddy Holly having a girlfriend back at Lubbock. So this is fictionalizing done for dramatic effect? Carlm0404 (talk) 08:09, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
By the way, IMDB has two Amy Johnstons, referred to there as Amy Johnston (I) and Amy Johnston (II). It is "(I)" who is referenced in the Wikipedia article you are reading about and who is now in her own Wikipedia article, so I am constructing a link from this article to that.
