If you decide to remove large quantities of material, please give an explanation as to why it was done.

For whatever reason, the paragraph comparing The Bullis School to Winston Churchill High School was put in - it was removed because it isn't really true, it's more opinion. Also, the SAT scores posted seem off - I'd like to see it cited next time. As far as I know, the school does not release average SAT score information.--Edaru 00:33, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the comments about Churchill are certainly more opinion based, but they are nevertheless relevant. I thus created an opinion section for relevant information that may not be absolutely written in stone, but still held as true by many people. The mean SAT scores had been found on a College Board type website, but I'm having trouble locating it again so they should be left out until they can be cited. The history section has a lot of room for expansion as well. I created it since the previous format with disparate facts about the school in the overview is not the Wikipedia standard. The vandalism stating that Bullis is 'one of the most exclusive' schools with 'powerful families' was also removed.

While it is relevant, it would take several paragraphs to properly discuss the topic. Honestly, I don't know that a short paragraph is fair to Bullis (or Churchill). W Ed 23:24, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it doesn't seem to me that there is any precedent for having an "Opinions" section, particularly for schools. Besides, simply having it opens a window for everyone to bash the school (or edit the article solely to praise it). W Ed 23:39, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I feel that the entire Background section should be removed. None of it can be cited and it seems irrelevent.

"Backgrounnd

The school caters to an exclusively elite and wealthy student population, as many of the other preparatory schools in the area. It is known as one of the best private schools in the region with a strong focus on academics and sports. Using the model of strong mind and body.

Many of the students are of families of Fortune 500 CEOs, Ambassadors, Senators, and DC Power Brokers.

The school sits on a lush rolling campus with a college like campus. Despite its large size, capable of accommodating a few thousand students, Bullis limits enrollment to the mid 500s to maintain its exclusive environment"

Give me a break!

-Refined background information, removed school from Defunct Military Academy's as the school is still well and running.

It is indeed a Defunct Military Academy. The school continues to run, but its purpose is no longer a military academy. W Ed 22:56, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted Art History requirement-this credit was dropped in the 05-06 school year.- therandomshow

Removed Trivia about Doug Sorenson. This is a fairly unknown artist and irrelevant to the school. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.156.148.253 (talk) 03:39, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
