MikeAllen why do you think it's unfair to add the sourced content related to the Allegations brought forth by Taraji P. Henson and Danielle Brooks regarding their and the casts treatment during the filming of The Color Purple? I think its safe to say a majority of the press coverage surrounding this film has been it's treatment of its cast and the alleged controversies involved. Yes the issue was solved but that doesn't erase the fact it happened in the first place. Henson's entire press tour for the film has been revolved around her alleged mistreatment. I don't think a whole section is worthy of this. It can't be added under filming in a few sentences? Also I think its safe to say a majority of the press coverage surrounding this film has been it's treatment of its cast and the alleged controversies involved. Yes the issue was solved but that doesn't erase the fact it happened in the first place. Henson's entire press tour for the film has been revolved around her alleged mistreatment. is not currently in the section or in sources, so I'm not sure where that is coming from. I mean all I did was list the controversies and quotes from the named individuals. It's pretty bare bones at this point. Not sure what you mean by "not currently in the section or the sources". Are you reading the sources or headlines or whats currently in the section? The first line reads, "Taraji P. Henson spoke out against unfair pay and working conditions while working on the film" followed by specific examples and then Oprah's reaction to them.
"Taraji P. Henson Explains Why She Spoke Out on Pay Equity (Again) — and 'The Color Purple' Set Issue", IndieWire
"Taraji P. Henson's salary issues point to a larger problem in Hollywood", Vox
"Taraji P. Henson Criticizes 'The Color Purple' Production for Making Cast Drive Themselves to Set in Rental Cars", Complex
"Taraji P. Henson Has Had Enough Disrespect", The Cut
"Oprah Denies Taraji P. Henson Feud, Says 'I Would Step In' to Fix 'Color Purple' Set Issues Like No Food at Rehearsals: 'I'm Not in Charge of the Budget'", Variety
"Oprah Responds to Critics Following 'Color Purple' Rental Car, Trailer Revelations: No "Thing Between Taraji and I", The Hollywood Reporter
It sounds like your bias might be showing? First your complaint is its too much, now you're saying its bare bones? I showed overwhelming amount of sources where the coverage involving the promotion of the film has been based around Taraji P. Henson's remarks and the aftermath and reactions from other cast members and producers. I think the heading accurately reflects the sourced material, don't you?The One I Left (talk) 21:19, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
