Criterion release[edit]

The current version indicates that a Criterion version of the film will be released in the fall. No citation is given. This claim is completely unsubstantiated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.204.39.118 (talk) 21:25, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DVD Release[edit]

any word on when we can expect this yet? 24.60.255.119 (talk) 00:24, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Poster[edit]

The previous poster image had the IGN watermark. I've uploaded the same poster image without the watermark and also strengthened the fair use rationale for the image. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 13:50, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • found a much better quality poster from worstpreviews.com and posted it. Squadoosh 00:39, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Release Date[edit]

September 29th seems to be the release date only for NY(maybe just Broadway). But I can't find any good information about it. Anyone else have any luck? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.85.107.73 (talk) 03:23, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

IMDB lists a set of release dates here. They list a limited release in the US on Sept. 29 (probably just NY and LA) but no US wide release. The first wide release is listed as Nov. 23 in the UK. The film's official website has no wide release date posted, but does list a series of advance screenings Oct. 1 through Oct. 23. So we can assume it opens after Oct. 23, and probably on or before Nov. 23, but not much more. No idea why they're leaving it such a mystery. 70.160.240.45 00:54, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews[edit]

There is way too many quotes from reviews on this page. Someone please summarize them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.113.191.69 (talk) 18:50, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I vote for keeping all the review quotes. I came to this page expressly to see what the critics thought, and was satisfied to see a range of options. Mrwriter 21:14, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why you "expressly" came to this page is immaterial. Wikipedia was not set up for personal enjoyment of "Mrwriter". The criticism section needs to be cleaned up. One praising review, one moderate review, and one scathing review (perhaps Rex Reed's diatribe) is sufficient and fair. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.167.113.17 (talk) 00:02, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The website Rotten Tomatoes reported that 66% of critics gave the film positive reviews based on 146 reviews. I think citations from 12 critics is fine, considering there are 146 reviews that could be cited. I added 8 positive reviews and 4 negative reviews (66%) to match the ratio on Rotten Tomatoes. I think 3 reviews is too little. --Pixelface (talk) 16:54, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uh, 24.167.113.17, you said "Why you "expressly" came to this page is immaterial. Wikipedia was not set up for personal enjoyment of "Mrwriter" Well it IS ctually set up for his personal enjoyment and everyone else's.--70.157.34.59 (talk) 23:33, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Who wrote this?[edit]

Who wrote this? It is worded weird. Things like this "On the next morning the three brothers find out that the mother has left for another time her family and her children"--70.157.34.59 (talk) 23:31, 20 January 2009 (UTC) Who wrote "who wrote this?" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.9.5.145 (talk) 18:58, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hindi?[edit]

I don't understand why a Hindi transliteration is given at the beginning of this article. This is an American movie that is primarily in English, although with some Hindi dialogue. The Karate Kid (2010 film) had some Mandarin dialogue, and Slumdog Millionaire had 30 minutes of Hindi dialogue but neither of these articles have another language included in their header. For this reason, I removed Hindi but this was later reverted. 71.75.36.70 (talk) 23:47, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have to agree with the anonymous editor. I would like to see a discussion for the Hindi title and an explanation of why it is felt to be necessary. ---RepublicanJacobiteTheFortyFive 14:09, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Going back through the history, I see that the Hindi title was added by Anupam on 22 May 2010‎, with no edit summary, and no subsequent discussion. I see no reason for it, and unless another editor can offer an explanation, I suggest it be left out. ---RepublicanJacobiteTheFortyFive 14:14, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
