The graphic describes Button as a housemaid and Wace as (working class) lady's maid. But Button's duties are personal, those of a femme de chambre, and she is surely the lady's maid. Wace, moreover, is frequently referred to as "Miss Wace", is ignored in the early section describing the below-stairs staff, and has duties involving placement at meals, while in Chapter 5 she addresses Lucy as "duchess" rather than "your grace": she seems to be downtrodden middle class rather than working class – perhaps a governess whose role as such has disappeared by the time the action commences and has migrated into that of a sort of secretary.
