The Ghosts of Edendale is notable as the follow up film of famed cult movie director and Digital Cinema pioneer, Stefan Avalos (The Last Broadcast). Continuing the tradition of mixing fact and fiction that was begun with The Last Broadcast, Ghosts of Edendale mixes the realities of the silent movie era and the life and death of western Star, Tom Mix with modern Los Angeles.
Though the replacement of traditional filmmaking with celluloid and the viability of Digital Cinema is the argument-du-jour in Hollywood today, the success of Dogme movies and ultra-low budget movies such as Edendale seem to assure that the "digital revolution" is not a fad.
