Important University[edit]

many great indian scientists (S.S Abhyankar, Homi Bhabha, P.K Kelkar) have graduated from this university which was one of the best universites in India. Due to total neglect and mismanagement by the goverment of maharashtra, it fell into total disrepute and decay; althought there are plans now to renovate it. Whether they succeed remains to be seen.
