I don't understand the statement that "Brodkey's article began with some scientifically preposterous statements about contracting the syndrome. Only slightly revised, and just as preposterous, Brodkey's article was reprinted as a book . . ." The entry does not say what is scientifically preposterous in Brodkey's opening passage, unless it is his claim that he contracted AIDS despite not having had gay sex since 1977.

Brodkey's claim may or may not be true, but is it "scientifically preposterous"? Gregory Feeley (talk) 22:34, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
