Please could you help me with my rights

To whom it may concern, I am just asking for some help. I’m disabled and in the year 2020 I had Covid and was hospitalised for three weeks, my employer said they could not continue to pay me sick pay, which I understand so they paid me off, informing me that I can not go back and work for this company.
