Re Thissell's social blunders

[edit]

Re the timing of the gaffes: he commits one on the way to the spaceport (insulting the hostler by choosing the wrong instrument), and two after he gets back (annoying the mask shop owner when enquiring whether a Forest Goblin had come into the shop and, worse, trying to get the Forest Goblin to remove his mask). Correction

[edit]

The synopsis is wrong. In the story, Thissell shows up wearing a "Moon Moth" mask, and is told by a fellow diplomat that he can't wear it, because it represents extraordinary bravery and wisdom. So, Thissell ends up wearing a plain, drab mask. The payoff at the end of the story is that because of his supposed "bravery" in defeating Angmark, the natives present him with one of their highest honors: a Moon Moth mask.

I don't like changing WikiPedia entries, but perhaps a real editor can fix this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.33.206.74 (talk) 23:44, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong. The prestigious mask is the Sea-Dragon Conqueror. --Error (talk) 23:07, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
And the Moon Moth is what he wears until he earns the Conqueror. —Tamfang (talk) 03:43, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
