The Conservative Debate[edit]

If you live in my city you will know that The Christchurch Press is a conservative paper. Everyday there is a front page headline attacking the centre-left government while praising the opposition. This isn't my opinion but if I have to blog this including some of the headlines and then cite it I will. Bactoid 05:17, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like publishing this sort of article (without asking other scientists their opinion) is definitely very right wing! Don't know how to 'prove' it for wikipedia http://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/news/2669207/Climate-change-down-to-nature 129.215.25.154 (talk) 12:47, 25 July 2009 (UTC) lionfish[reply]
The last paragraph of the building's official heritage register entry backs up that the Press is a conservative newspaper. Schwede66 19:31, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Today section title[edit]

Should it specify some years instead of just saying "today"? Seems like it will date itself pretty easily if it isn't changed. VioletVines (talk) 07:28, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cellarius (name)[edit]

Cellarius (name) redirects to Cellarius (disambiguation), for the usage as pseudonym by Samuel Butler (novelist) in his letters to the editor is ambiguous. --Pawyilee (talk) 15:27, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I share your concern, and for that reason, I once unlinked the term. Somebody else put the link back. I shall remove it again. Schwede66 17:03, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I greatly fear you don't share my concern, which is that readers of the article get a chance to see the list of Cellariuses from which Butler chose his pseudonym, and that bots know the link is intended. Please put it back again so (q.v.) makes sense. --Pawyilee (talk) 07:12, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I completely misunderstood you. Sorry. Schwede66 08:40, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for putting it back. I'm sorry my attempt to disambiguate turned out to be ambiguous! I believe Butler was honoring Christoph Cellarius, but with the link restored, readers are free to take their pick. --Pawyilee (talk) 13:07, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Editors[edit]

E. B. (Binney) Lock was editor after A. R. Cant. Perhaps someone in Christchurch could look for him in the phone book and ask for the details.Redactor33 (talk) 02:35, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
