To clarify: a Smoke Ring "dwarf" is an average sized present day Earth born human. Five foot eight inches or thereabouts. There are mutations brought on by genetic drift and inbreeding including characters born with asymmetric limbs and one woman with no legs at all. A third book titled "The Ghost Ships" has had an excerpt published in the back of at least one other book by Larry Niven. The author had stated that he was going to finish it but later said that he wasn't. Bizzybody (talk) 09:08, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
