The article should refer to the fact that the Walker Brothers' version of this song was playing in the Blind Beggar pub in Whitechapel, London when George Cornell was shot by Ronnie Kray. Jasonpfinch (talk) 13:47, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Keep

[edit]

Keane released this as a gift and as a official single. Is a cover but it's still well known by fans. There is too much information for a merging Fluence 01:06, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not really. The articles are about the same length, and as three infoboxes is usually seen as the maximum allowable, there would be no problem in that respect. This would give good background for the Keane single on the same page, and the general policy seems to be one article per song, although there are others currently needing a merge. I think the main article (The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore) needs to be expanded. As you say, the original single should have a bigger article than the cover. I suggest keeping until the article is expanded.

Covers

[edit]

Question: Does anyone (besides me) remember a cover of "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" by a group called The Fuzzy Bunnies? This rendition is noteworthy because the final instrumental of the piece is taken from Beethoven's Egmont Overture. This record would have been aired in 1968 or 1969. My 45rpm was stolen in 1971. Is there anybody out there? Moontop 20:28, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
