Horror Low‑importance

Removal of sources[edit]

I wanted to explain why I removed a lot of the sources in the article. Most of them were self-published blogs, and these are not considered reliable sources. This means that they are unsuitable for use as citations on Wikipedia. The "cult status" section had two citations, but one of them was a primary source, the film's VHS box. That's fine for something like the cast list or a plot synopsis, but it's not suitable as a citation for the film's reception. The other was to a self-published blogger who, as far as I can tell, didn't even label it as a cult film. I did extensive searches on Google to find someone who did label it as such, and I didn't come up with anything. Since no reliable sources have labeled this as a cult film, I removed that section as original research. Unfortunately, we can't really go around calling every forgotten film a "cult film", because then everything on Wikipedia would eventually be so labeled. There are a few citations I saw on Google Books, but I couldn't access them, since they have no free preview available. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 05:41, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
