Original Shannara Vs Sword of Shannara
[edit]Really it depends on where you look on terrybrooks.net as to what they consider the official title to be. The bibliography calls it the "Original Shannara Trilogy" but several other places on the site list the books under the "Sword of Shannara Trilogy" (in fact, most of the other occurrences on the site seem to use the Sword title). Plus, they were recently published as the "Sword of Shannara Trilogy". I would personally go with the more-recognized "Sword of Shannara Trilogy" but I would be interested to hear others' thoughts. - I don't think it really matters that much. It doesn't have an official title, really, so we just kind of have to make do. -Patstuart 01:32, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
Stand-alone
[edit]After the sentence "Unlike the other three main Shannara series, each book in this series is intended as a stand-alone novel.", someone has added "citation needed". All you need to do is read the books. You can read the first three in any order - they each contain their own individual story. The other series do not - each of those has a story-arc which goes across all the novels in the series. It's hard to get a citation for something that's obvious to anyone who has read the books... 77.99.98.37 (talk) 09:21, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
Trilogy or not?
[edit]The first sentence reads, "The Sword of Shannara Trilogy consists of the first four Shannara novels...", which contradicts itself. Unless you're being facetious like Douglas Adams with his Hitchhiker's "trilogy" of five books. As these books are not humorous, this contradiction needs to be fixed. The Infobox also lists four books under the head of "The Sword of Shannara Trilogy", and states there are three books in the trilogy at the bottom. The section in the article discussing the books only goes over the original three books. Additionally, the navbox of Brooks' works at the bottom of the article only includes three works in the original trilogy. I've only read part of the first, so we need someone more familiar with the series to sort this out. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 01:10, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
- Hmmm...looks like it was some random IP that changed it, so I just changed it back. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 01:27, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
