Untitled[edit]

Is the string quartet mentioned here a conventional quartet of violins 1 and 2, viola and 'cello, or is it violin, viola, 'cello and bass? I swear I can hear a lot of notes that are below the 'cello range or that project like they are from the bass and not the 'cello. Kntrabssi 02:28, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Clean-up required[edit]

I've tagged this page as requiring clean-up and restructuring, for a few reasons:

  1. It doesn't follow standard wiki format;
  2. It is not separated into coherent sections;
  3. There are far too many quotations; and
  4. The references are mangled (and should not, for example, appear in the "external links" section).

Now, that of course doesn't mean that this is a "bad" article -- in fact, there is a good amount of useful content included here. It just needs to be condensed and reorganized. If I get a chance, I'll come back to it in the near future and see what I can do to organize it better. --Todeswalzer|Talk 00:37, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

POST-SCRIPT: This image of Leonard Bernstein's score of The Unanswered Question may be of interest to the editors of this article, and it can also probably be incorporated under fair use. (It may be of particular interest to Kntrabssi; you'll notice that the score calls for a string quartet of First and Second Violins, Viola, and a Cello or Double Bass.) --Todeswalzer|Talk 00:58, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
