Did Havoc produce anything for this CD? A few people on Amazon are saying he did but he isn't listed here.

This whole article is ridiculous. By the time this album came out, it had been YEARS since groups like Mobb Deep and Wu-Tang 'breathed new life into the gangster rap genre' and through their productions defined the paired down, haunting, east coast 90s gangster sound. This sound did NOT originate on this album, and I'm really tired of people acting like this album changed the art form somehow. We all know it didn't, and if you listen to any East coast rap that came out before this, you'd know. And what about NaS? Say what you want about him, his early albums were ALL ABOUT GANGSTER SHIT. You can't change the fact that he rapped about it. It's history. Notorious B.I.G. anybody?! C'mon man. Raekwon? Ghostface? Shit, even Gza. This whole album sounds like Havoc and Rza's style of production. Shit, anybody in Boot Camp Clik man.

I'm not saying this isn't good music. All I'm saying is, this shit didn't CHANGE THE STYLE OF THE TIME! It's an EXAMPLE of the style of the times. There is really nothing new on this album, even tho it's a very well done album.

People need to stop ignoring history. This came out in 1997... c'mon man!

Anybody who disagrees with me and wants to continue to perpetuate the myth that this album somehow changed the game and originated some kind of trend that other people THEN followed, like this all started in 97 or some backwards shit, go ahead and find some damn sources to back it up.

Cuz right now, EVERYTHING this article outlandishly claims is un-sourced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.173.46.218 (talk) 22:31, March 25, 2009‎

Well said, and agreed. I'd probably also add some of the earlier stuff from Gang Starr as well.. Hard to Earn for example. -- œ 05:29, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

9/11 reference?

[edit]

this is most likely a consedence but their album is 'the war report' they have a song called iraq, they make various islamic references, and their album cover has two towers with a plane flying on the far right.. hmm.. Hazben 01:44, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

but their not the twin towers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Siwhat (talkcontribs) 00:07, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
