Hello, I'll be reading the whole article and reviewing it soon, but here are a few inital comments I saw when skimming:

  • In the image caption, tell which is Carter an which is Spotnitz (left, right, etc.)
  • "...the show's mythology developed largely based on the pregnancy of actress Gillian Anderson, who became pregnant midway through the first season." Did she become pregnant midway through the airing of the first season, or the filming of it?
  • "It was later revealed to the producers that Davis was running an acting school, and teaching such actors as Lucy Lawless, who would make an appearance in the ninth season." I would reword this to specify that it was just Lucy Lawless who appeared in the ninth season, and not other members of the acting school as the current wording suggests.
    • Reworded as "such as ninth season guest star Lucy Lawless". GRAPPLE X 00:02, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reception section: "because chances are, if you love the X-Files..." Change "the X-Files" to "The X-Files".
    • Not done. Source does not italicise, no reason to hypercorrect a quotation. GRAPPLE X 00:02, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

More to come in a day or so. Glimmer721 talk 22:39, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I'm back. Sorry for the wait. Here's the rest:

  • One dablink [1]
  • I would wikilink Oregon as it's a lesser-known state and foreigners would find it useful.
  • "Although the pair are later allowed to resume their work, Scully is later kidnapped by an unhinged multiple alien abductee, who takes her to a hilltop where Scully is then abducted herself." Is the second abduction supposed to be by aliens/the paranormal? Please clarify.
    • Clarified as best I could. Ultimately the series leaves it a bit open ended but it's heavily implied it's aliens. GRAPPLE X 23:54, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "....and left for dead after it is destroyed." Isn't the phrase ususally "left for death"? (I could be wrong).
    • It's left for dead (Or else Left 4 Dead wouldn't be a pun!). It's basically "left in the assumption that he is dead", not "left to die". GRAPPLE X 23:54, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • The link to the episode of "Deep Throat" in the Production section should lead to Deep Throat (The X-Files episode) instead of Deep Throat (The X-Files) (the character).
  • The Smoking Man is linked twice in the Production section. So is Frank Spotnitz.
  • "R.W. Goodwin did not trust William B. Davis to take on the role of the series chief antagonist. It was later revealed to the producers that Davis was running an acting school, and teaching such actors as ninth season guest star Lucy Lawless.[23]" This sentence needs to flow...is the fact Goodwin did not trust Davis the reason he only uttered four words? What's Goodwin's relationship to the series? And what does the acting school have to do with the fact Goodwin didn't trust Davis?
    • It's not that Goodwin didn't trust him as a person, which I think you've taken from it, but that he didn't have faith in Davis' acting ability, and when he found that Davis was an acting coach he realised he'd underestimated him. I've rephrased that a bit to make it clear that this is what's intended. GRAPPLE X 23:54, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "He is arrested and while in jail he meets Max Fenig (Scott Bellis), a UFO nut..." "Nut" is slang; something else may be more appropriate.
    • Changed to "fanatic". GRAPPLE X 23:54, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "With the X-Files shut down, FBI agent Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) finds his own belief in the truth waning. So when..." Is there a need to reiterate that Duchovny plays Mulder? Also try avoiding starting the next sentence with "So".
  • "Though his quest for vengeance could make him exactly like those whom he despises." This seems to be a teaser; an event from the episode that would describe that would be more appropriate.
  • "The Crew Cut Man (Lindsey Ginter) returns—this time working alone." Returned from when? He wasn't mentioned in any of the other episode summaries.
    • I've clarified who he is in the "Red Museum" summary, but he is the man who shot Deep Throat in "The Erlenmeyer Flask". Would this be something worth adding to the overall summary? I hadn't added the events of "Red Museum" to that as apart from the Crew Cut Man's appearance it's not important at all. GRAPPLE X 23:54, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • I can't really judge this as I've never seen the series (yet...) so you would be the judge of whether his appearance is important to the overall mythology storyline. If not what's listed in the "Red Museum" summary should be fine. Glimmer721 talk 00:33, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
        • I'm not actually sure he even has a line in the series, and his second appearance seemed more an attempt to tie up a plot thread and loosely connect an episode with the mythology plotline. He's ultimately just a bit of window dressing. GRAPPLE X 00:43, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's about it, just fix those small things and this should be good to go! I'll place this on holdfor seven days. I'm very impressed; never thought about making a DVD collection a good article before. Just one question: What category should this fit under in Wikipedia:Good articles/Arts? Glimmer721 talk 23:31, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for taking the time to review this! As for where to list it, I'd say probably under "Live action television and radio", where season articles would go. Though you're right, it's an odd topic—ultimately I only started work on these releases as it helps break up the Mythology of The X-Files material into workable chunks. Definitely not doing any of the other DVD sets! GRAPPLE X 23:54, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. You've fixed everything and so I will pass this. Good luck with the topic! Glimmer721 talk 02:31, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
