[edit]I have cleared this at NPP assuming there is no copyvio, since (per WP:LYRICS) it is more than 70 years since Patton's death, and the poem was published prior to 1923. If anyone thinks I got that wrong, please ping me so I know better next time. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:39, 1 October 2022 (UTC)
Which stanzas in movie?
[edit]The article has this, in the "Appearances" section:
- "In Patton (1970), the first and third stanzas of "Through a Glass, Darkly" are recited by George C. Scott, amid a recount of the Siege of Carthage in the Third Punic War."
But, this clip from YouTube shows it was the first and twenty-second stanzas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7ER08F9rGo SlowJog (talk) 03:54, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- The article has been corrected: "the first and third" has been changed to "the first and the third from the last". SlowJog (talk) 01:17, 16 June 2024 (UTC)
