Should not Cpl Truesdale have received the Tiffany Cross for combat in Nicaragua in 1932? (The photo on that page shows him wearing the post-1942 version, with neck ribbon, but he is also wearing what appears to be the Tiffany Cross on his chest, below his other medals.) 104.153.40.58 (talk) 18:52, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

He lost his hand trying to toss a live grenade that was accidentally dropped by someone in his own squad, while they were on patrol for bandits. It would seem that's why he got the non-combat variant. (jmho) - wolf 06:40, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
