VFD discussion[edit]

this was the discussion that took place at Votes for Deletion:

  • Towelie - TV series episode plot -- JeLuF 22:44, 23 Nov 2003 (UTC)
    • There are other episodes of various TV shows that have their own plots; I think it was decided some time recently that there was no need to delete them because "wikipedia is not paper." (I happen not to agree with that, but there is precedent for them to be kept...) Adam Bishop 23:16, 23 Nov 2003 (UTC)
    • Delete. Maximus Rex 23:18, 23 Nov 2003 (UTC)
    • The article says it's an episode of South Park. Huge TV show, cult following. An episode deserves an article. It's an even better known show than Timon and Pumbaa (whose I Think I Canada article met none of the criteria for deletion). Wiwaxia 03:33, 25 Nov 2003 (UTC)

removed towelie tribute link, video no longer there

Funkytown on the keypad[edit]

I don't know if this belongs in this article, someone can feel free to add it, but the keypad tones to play funkytown (a la Towelie) are 55754 45085 --68.148.190.38 08:36, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

shoeless[edit]

me and my friend think that he never said this

I have three requests. First, use a complete sentence so that we know what you're talking about. Second, and this is a minor quibble, learn about capitalization and punctuation. This is a discussion on an encyclopedia site, not an IRC or instant messenger "chat". Third, sign your comments. If you think that using the shift key now and then or typing four tildes is a major imposition, then perhaps Wikipedia articles aren't the best area of the 'net for you to be attempting to influence. - Ugliness Man 10:32, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

dont call me shoeless- your shoeless.... right, that's it.

Trey and Matt explained how they up with Towelie on the DVD commentary for the episode he was introduced. I hope that's enough citation. - John Pannozzi--JFP 15:54, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge?[edit]

Towelie has only been in three episodes and a cameo. No offence, I think Towelie is one of the best characters, however many articles have been merged. Does anyone have any other comments?

What's the notablity required to have an article? I mean he had a whole orgin episode about him, a full episode just for him, and has some cameo appearances. If he hadn't has the two major episodes, I would say merge, but he seems notable enough. Nemu 20:41, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • No way. Towlie is a very well known fictional character. What would be the point of merging? It would only restrict how much we can write about him. Definantly keep Towlie in his own article.Narrasawa 06:50, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Fair enough, but this article needs lengthening, a section for personality/appearence/character traits, career/lifestyle/big events in life, episode appearences, trivia.

Merge[edit]

If characters like Mr. Mackey can be merged then I am sorry to say that Towelie should be. Mr. Garrison (talk · contribs)
