Baptist Version?

[edit]

I see references in IFB (Independent Fundamental Baptist) writings to "the Baptist edition of the Trinity Hymnal", but there is no mention in this article of its use or adaptation by groups outside the Presbyterian moiety. Are there other non-presbyterian editions of this hymnal, if so which, and in what ways do they differ? Toning down TULIP? Omitting references to paedobaptism and perhaps expanding the dunking hymn section? --Haruo (talk) 18:22, 17 October 2008 (UTC) Yes, there is a Baptist version. Why wouldn't this be a reliable source? Is there doubt that it really is what the preface to the printed edition actually says? StAnselm (talk) 05:35, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Because it is some random church's website. If you are citing to the actual preface of the book and not anything else on the webpage, just cite to the book itself. That would at least make clear there is no third-party source being used. Novaseminary (talk) 05:37, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I could change the citation, but I don't have a copy of the hymnal in my hands (though I have seen it before). StAnselm (talk) 05:40, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
