Talk:Two-point

Major re-vamp, anyone?

Based on the discussion on the jumping position page, my agenda for this article would be:

- remove the picture that is currently labeled two-point (arguably it's a release)

- find a good picture of two-point on the flat. It would probably be easy to find one of an eventer between fences on the cross-country phase, since that seems to be a favored position.

- explain and stress the difference between two-point and jumping position (I'm not happy with the "Jumping a fence" section at *all*)

- I'm not sure how much half seat/three point should be in this article because of its current name. I do think it's important to explain the differences, however. I would actually like to rename this article to include these several flat positions, except for the fact that I'm at loss for a suitable name. LochNessDonkey 23:44, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look at the Hunt seat article and the English riding articles. Maybe it can go in one of those. There is an argument that "hunt seat" is purely an American style of riding, but there is something similar worldwide, we are talking about the 20th century style of riding developed by Caprilli and its various development since., I mean, out in my world, if it ain't western and it ain't saddle seat, it's gotta be hunt seat.
