I don't think that a PRIDE championship should be mentioned before a UFC championship. This is a UFC event so shouldn't the mention of the UFC title come before the PRIDE title? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aj10101 (talkcontribs) 09:27, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it matter whose event it is but rather what he's better known as, which in this case is definitely being a champion in PRIDE. --aktsu (t / c) 11:49, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
He won the Pride title first- then the UFC - so that should be the order. David.snipes (talk) 16:10, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that is the convention. Consider if Nog were the current UFC champion, they would mention that he is former PRIDE champion and then the current title he holds. They do this with Randy when his is, say, the Heavyweight Champion the ring announcer will indicate that he is the former Light-Heavyweight champion first. --Jackbox1971 (talk) 19:33, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Other Announced Matchups" vs. "Preliminary Card"

[edit]

I had my edit to this page reverted, apparantly, through wp:speculation. However, the subject line of the article used as a reference in the Aurelio/Dunham fight clearly says "prelims" which would mean preliminary card. I would take that to mean the fight is on the prelim card. --70.242.161.152 (talk) 00:02, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

{{editsemiprotected}} The record for UFC's fastest knockout was not from a fight between Don Frye & James Irvin (they never actually fought). Fastest knocket was held by the fight between James Irvin & Houston Alexander (8 seconds).—Preceding unsigned comment added by Dmangal (talkcontribs)

Frye and Irving both have 8 seconds KOs (Frye over Thomas Ramirez at UFC 8, Irvin over Alexander). --aktsu (t / c) 17:35, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
 Done I've clarified it in the article. --aktsu (t / c) 17:39, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
