Too much detail
[edit]I've added an 'excessive amount of intricate detail' note to the article. What I mean is things like
Later that day, the ship headed back to Danang to have her five-inch (127 mm) gun barrel replaced by the repair ship USS Hector (AR-7).
Normal west coast operations out of Long Beach occupied her time until 9 July, the day she got underway for her new home port, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The warship made the voyage in six days, entering Pearl on 14 July.
The whole article is down to this level of detail. Anybody interested in that much detail should go read the source. I think the Wikipedia article should be much more concise.--ospalh (talk) 07:36, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
