Article or brochure?

Much of this article (17:01, 6 October 2005 version) appears to have been copied verbatim from UTStarcom's own website -- probabbly in violation of copyright (although I doubt they mind). It also reads like NPOV marketing copy -- full of corporate "puffery" and vague claims with little substance. If that stuff was all just deleted, the article would be a tiny stub. So it clearly needs help. But I don't know anything about the company, though, and have little interest in researching it (I want to spend my time here in articles I *already* know things about). One thing that's interesting is that it says the company's F1000 handset is the best known product, when their "PAS" system is clearly their biggest product, having invented the technology. • I added the best-known product bit based on the fact that the F1000 is re-sold by many of the major VoIP providers worldwide. Having looked into it, the PAS does seem quite popular - but only in China. Perhaps someone who knows about the PAS can ammend the article. David Johnson [T|C] 16:46, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

They didn't invent PAS, they bought the rights from DoCoMo (Japan) for a bargain basement price, and minted money with it (while it lasted) through selling through China Telecom in 2nd/3rd-tier cities.
